SCCM — Guidelines on Caring for Older Adults in the ICU
Society of Critical Care Medicine, 2026
SCCM suggests a geriatric model of care for adults aged 65 years and older and suggests against antipsychotics for delirium prevention. Evidence is insufficient to recommend for or against antipsychotics for delirium treatment or a universal MAP 60–65 mmHg target versus higher usual-care targets in all older adults with vasodilatory shock.
