ESPEN ICU Nutrition 2019 — ESPEN Guideline on Clinical Nutrition in the Intensive Care Unit

The 2019 ESPEN ICU nutrition guideline supported early enteral nutrition when feasible, avoidance of early overfeeding, progressive protein delivery, and individualized use of parenteral nutrition. It has been partially revised and operationalized by the 2023 ESPEN practical ICU nutrition guideline; use the newer entry for current bedside recommendations.
