McMaster ITP Emergency Management Guideline Group — Guideline on the emergency management of critical bleeding in patients with immune thrombocytopenia

For critical ITP bleeding with severe thrombocytopenia, combine high-dose corticosteroid, IVIG, platelets, antifibrinolytic therapy and TPO-RA under an emergency specialist protocol. Strong recommendations reflect danger despite low/very-low evidence. Rescue splenectomy is conditional after failure; avoid routine rFVIIa.
