ELSO ECPR 2021 — Extracorporeal Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in Adults: Interim Guideline Consensus Statement From the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization
Extracorporeal Life Support Organization, 2021
ECPR is a resource-intensive rescue strategy for selected refractory cardiac arrest when a reversible cause is plausible and a trained system can establish extracorporeal flow rapidly. Programs should use explicit local selection criteria and a coordinated pathway rather than treating ECPR as routine care for all arrests.
