ASA 2022 — Practice Guidelines for Management of the Difficult Airway

Airway strategy should explicitly plan oxygenation, first-pass success, rescue ventilation and emergency invasive airway access, with awake intubation considered when difficult ventilation, aspiration risk, apnea intolerance, or difficult rescue is anticipated.
