AHA/ACC/HFSA 2022 — Guideline for the Management of Heart Failure
AHA / ACC / HFSA, 2022
Patients with acute decompensated heart failure and fluid overload should be promptly treated with IV loop diuretics at doses equal to or exceeding their chronic oral dose. In hypertensive pulmonary edema (SCAPE), IV vasodilators (nitroglycerin) should be rapidly titrated with noninvasive ventilation.
